I just finished this book The Fourth Turning is Here by Neil Howe. Has anyone read this or any of the other books? What are your thoughts?

Here’s mine….
The book uses generational theory to hypothesize that America is in the ekpiyosis of a saeculum of 4 generations. In other words we are in the final crisis phase of a 4 generational cycles which lasting 80 – 100 years; that began with the end of WWII with the Silent Generation transitioning the saeculums during the last ekpyrosis; birthing the Boomers, then Generation X, the Millennials, and now the Homelanders. We are now entering a new crisis phase which will end this cycle and start the new.

What the book prophesies, does not look good for us; especially as a sovereign freedom community. People are moving into more collectivist, godless, vanilla, existence that is demanding more government and control to build a better, more equitable society. And there is no way we can avoid a future of more government control, because that is the one thing guaranteed after after evey ekpyrosis throughout history.

Needless to say, it propose that Generation X, which are a lot of us here, will be the leaders to guide us through this crisis. I guess we have our work cut out for us if we want to avoid the New World Order AI controlled digital gulag looming on the horizon?

I’d say the book was entertaining, with a lot of historical perspective; and is worth the read if you are interested in generational theory. In the end, it does give you insight you can use when interacting with with certain generations, Millennial, Boomer, etc, to understand why they think the way they do.
