Howdy! Last year I flew into Bakersfield- (I live in Iowa), my friend picked me up, and Cielos was really close from there, only an hour-ish. Bakersfield airport is so tiny and easy easy easy. We stopped on the way and picked up a $30 tent roomy enough for 3 ppl. 🙂

Frances – get your ticket! You are guaranteed to be thrilled that you did so, and you’ll feel this immediately upon entering the grounds. For real. Your new community is waiting for you. <3 I went last October for the first time and I literally can’t imagine missing another one everrrrr! And I love your adventurous spirit, backpacking and all!
