Further Music & Sky Decentralization – Upstate NY
Recently watched a Qortal discussion between Mike and Ernie Hancock. My ears perked up BIG TIME when I heard Mike say there are intentions to decentralize Music & Sky, namely in terms of location… So I just wanted to put it out there that I am moving from SW, Florida back home to Upstate NY in 2 weeks. Absolutely willing to volunteer my time & energy to building out the proper network (some of which is already in place) and pooling resources to bring this to fruition. I find a great deal of potential in Ithaca as a hosting city for this endeavor. There is an ethos that exists there which I could easily see getting groovy with M&S values/missions. Furthermore, with 2 substantial uni’s in the city there awaits a MAJOR opportunity to build cohesiveness and solidarity among young people. Not to mention the very real possibility of drawing supremely talented and like-hearted folks from nearby NYC/Philly (they’re a ~4 hour drive/bus from Ithaca, and city folks LOVE a chance to get away from the hustle & bustle for a weekend.)
