Hey guys! Thanks so much for signing up to help out in the kitchen this year! As many of you know, one of the defining elements of M&S is our amazing family meals so this is a super important aspect of the event.

Luckily we have some amazing people stepping up to manage the kitchen. For one, one of our co-founders, @matt is a chef and has been instrumental in curating all the great food over the last few years!

We also have @paul-bellearthlink-net stepping in to take some of the leadership role. Many of you know Paul and his lovely wife Lauren from past events. They run a farm-to-table restaurant called Ahimsa Bowls ( down south and will be bringing their tasty food to the event as well as helping with the kitchen.

Last and def not least we have @sfuriosa stepping up to help manage the kitchen. She is also a talented chef with a focus on quality, farm-fresh organic fare.

We are still working on finding one more professional chef to step up and help out. If you know of anyone please refer them our way. Also, please feel free to introduce yourself here in the group and let us know what your super powers in the kitchen are and what you are most excited about at this year’s M&S! xo

I have worked in the Esalen kitchen extensively doing prep, not the main chef…also assisted in prep on catering jobs at Wilbur Hot Spring. being a foodie for so long now, I have extensive knowledge of food groups, food combinations, pure water, and simple live food ideas, that I would love to share…like live granola, sorta musli style…in sprouted grains…cheap with high profiles….among bring my set of knifes and a few other tricky items I like to use…looking forward the wisdom flow this event will manifest…seeing that creek river in full flow, and mild temperature for our outing there…

Thank you Mike, I had heard several presentations from the Ahimsa guys and loved them, so it’ll be wonderful to meet them in person.

I am not a professional but have been a mom and a wife for several decades, so several decades of european cooking. Will welcome a lead 🙂

Can you please tell me what time do day and afternoon shift start and end? I am now very concern that I will not be able to make the day shift on Thursday. I tried to move all my shifts down one day from Th day/afternoon and Fr day to a day later right after I signed up but was unsuccessful.

    thank you so much,

      Hi Teresa,

I did make the adjustment on the day and shift as requested as per previous convo. The day shift starts at noon- 4pm . The evening shift starts at 4pm until 8PM.
On the Main volunteer spreadsheet, for kitchen volunteer, we currently have for you Fri day, Fri evening and Saturday day.
wonderful that you are into european cooking. I love that in my neighborhood in Toronto, Canada.
